Mursley United made it onto the pitch for the first time in three weeks, but continued their poor run of form in 2012 with a 1-0 home defeat by Kent Athletic.
The hosts were in the ascendancy for most of the first half. Ricky Foster hit the post after being put through by Ed Mills and, after Paul Hollingsworth had been fouled on the edge of the area, James Griiffiths' free kick clipped the post with the keeper beaten. In addition, a couple of goalmouth scrambles ensued and both Hollingsworth and Robin Tucker were only denied by last-ditch defending. In contrast, the visitors had just one opportunity of note, a rasping shot from Gazette, which was well saved by Ben Donaldson, the goalkeeper re-signed by the club from New Bradwell.
Early in the second half, Kent scored the decisive goal. A break from their own half found George with a shooting opportunity. His shot was saved by Donaldson, but the rebound came back to Harris for a simple tap-in.Mursley pushed forward and Mitchell Tofts was unlucky not to get on the end of a low cross from Hollingsworth. Despite their efforts, the home team were unable to break down a solid Kent's defence and slipped to their fourth league defeat in a row
